Keller Fountain Park - DiLiLAH - Digital Library of Landscape Architecture History

Occupying an entire city block, Keller Fountain Park is one of Lawrence Halprin's most iconic landscapes. The centerpiece of the space is a massive fountain meant to conjure up the natural waters flowing from the Cascade Mountains. The park was designed to provide visitors with the opportunity to interact with the water as it runs, pools and cascades through the park.

Lovejoy Fountain Park is a public open space in Portland, OR. The park was designed by Lawrence Halprin and finished in 1966. The terracing of the space and prominent fountain are an abstraction of the rugged landscapes of the Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
